there's around 60 photometric lights placed through the scene along with some GI.<br />

	<title>Cityscape - Acura 2008 MDX</title>

The assets were all modeled &amp; rendered in 3dsmax,the trees are a mix of Vue ecosystems &amp; some photos from cgtextures,<br />
the vehicle &amp; forground building were supplied to me as photographed elements,full image size is over 12k tall<br />
<br />

modelled in 3dmax &amp; Rendered using finalRender....I spent a while playing around with the final render passes in Photoshop.<br />
I used Zbrush to detail the pilings(the wood sticking out of the water)..&amp; for shaping the gargoyle heads.<br />
total scene polycount is well over a million polys...those palm trees are heavy :<br />
the plants are a mix of x-frog plants &amp; some instanced coconut palms exported out of Vue infinite.<br />

the building was modelled as one facade I then used symmetry modifiers to fill out the scene.<br />
the birds are animated using 'bend' &amp; 'wave' modifiers.<br />
<br />
the quicktime is a short camera pan that I may end up re-rendering with higher samples to clear out the flickering.<br />
<br />
total scene polycount is about 600k.<br />

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/64489/64489_1139331883_small.jpg"><br><br>an experimental piece for me..using per pixel  camera mapping &amp; projecting painted geometrie back onto itself for re-rendering,something I've never done before but am very pleased with the luxury of not having to uv map a mesh &amp; freedom of painting<br />
I was looking for a washed out feel to this..kind of a throwback to old fifties sci-fi<br />

diffuse &amp; bump painted in deep paint<br />
I'm trying for some realistic skin so any critique along that line would be invaluable.<br />

these fish were modelled in Max,textured in Z-Brush and then rendered in Daz Studio(Beta) using displacement &amp; a bit of ambient mapping<br />
